BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT ONLINE

For registered patients at our clinic: You can book your appointment at your convenience using our online booking tool. To become registered to our clinic, we require a referral from your doctor or health care provider.

You will only be able to book an appointment if we have received a recent referral, otherwise the booking system will automatically reject the appointment. More information on getting referred to our clinic is available
here.
Once you have booked your appointment you will receive detailed email information as to how to prepare for your appointment. The email will explain you need to be off antihistamines prior to your scheduled appointment as this interferes with the allergy test and that there is a small fee associated with the allergy testing material as testing material is not covered by your provincial health plan (everything else is). Please read the email carefully. If you do not receive an email after 24 hours, please call our clinic.

Should you wish to cancel or rebook your appointment, a minimum of three business days notice is required. Kindly note that If you do not provide three business days notice or do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be charged a no-show fee.

We look forward to seeing you.

FEE PAYMENT LINKS

Select this link if you have never been seen in our clinic or have been seen over a year ago. Selecting the incorrect payment link will result in your appointment processed incorrectly.

As per clinic policy confirmed via email/telephone conversation when your appointment was booked, a minimum notice of 3 business days to reschedule appointments is required.

Not attending your appointment results in an open time slot and other patients not being able to be seen in a timely manner.

No appointment bookings will take place unless the no-show fee is paid. Of course you have the option of asking your family doctor/GP to refer you to another allergy clinic.
Select this link only if you have already been seen in our clinic in the last few months. Selecting the incorrect payment link will result in your appointment processed incorrectly

Not attending your booked and confirmed follow up appointment results in open time slots and other patients not being able to be seen in a timely manner. This is especially important as the follow up appointment requests for food desensitization exceeds our available booking slots.

As per clinic policy, no show or short notice cancellation to your follow up appointment requires payment of a no show fee.

No further appointments will be booked until fee is paid. Of course you have the option of asking your family doctor/GP to refer you to another allergy clinic.

Alberta Health Services or your provincial health care plan does not cover the fees for completion of forms for medical or insurance reasons.

The fees we charge are to cover professional costs for the physicians and nurses time, administrative costs and direct costs like clerical time and resources or supplies and equipment used,

We always encourage you to determine whether this is indeed necessary as these requests require dedicated time from nurses and physicians. This time is not reimbursed by Alberta Health Services or your provincial plan, and takes us away from patient care.

To reflect this, we charge a fee of $55 for completion of forms. More complex requests such as government forms will be charged more. Costs higher than $55 will be discussed before work is completed.

Alberta Health Services or your provincial health care plan does not cover fees associated with non-appointment prescription renewals, such as telephone prescription renewals.

All prescription requests are reviewed by a nurse and a physician. The fees we charge are to professional costs for our time, administrative costs and direct costs like clerical time and resources or supplies and equipment used.

Many times the prescriptions we provide already have refills - check with your
pharmacy. Your family doctor may also be able to provide you with a refill.

We
are a very busy clinic and our priority its towards patients in our clinic. Therefore, the turnaround time is 3-5 business days. Do not call the day your medication runs out with the expectation that you will receive a prescription renewal the same day, as you will not.

The contact patch test fee charged is used to source the medically necessary supplies for patch testing. Alberta Health Services unfortunately does not cover Contact Patch Testing fees (know as 'tray fees').

Please select this payment only if you have already been seen and assessed by our allergist in our clinic AND have a series of patch test placement appointments booked with us

The patches are prepared the morning of your patch test placement appointment.

Recognize that if you have to cancel your patch test appointment the same day or do not attend - even if it is an emergency - you will forfeit your patch testing fee and will have to pay for the testing material again. This is because the patches degrade within a few hours after being prepared and cannot be used the next day. It will be discarded.
